I have been a tad busy with working on my website side so sorry for the bit of neglect! I have photos from an event in Brisbane called FUTURE BEAUTY - 30 YEARS OF JAPANESE FASHION now on my site too so feel free to check that out.

The photos below are just a glimpse into the editorial I worked on while in Japan. It is very amateur and each editorial consists of the same outfit. This is because I also want it to be about the photography. I want to show people the clothes and outfits in different views and angles rather than just one. To see more, check it out in the editorial section of the website and let me know what you guys think :)

experiments

Hi all!!! It's been way too long since I last posted on here and I'm terribly sorry! Just a quick post of this little pouch thing I made using cow hide I bought from a nice little leather store near my place (back in AUS now!). Hope to continue to make and experiment with leather and other materials :)
Any thoughts on this little piece?

New in - GUIDI 986 HORSE FULL GRAIN

It has been a long journey for me to acquire a pair of Guidi boots. It probably over half a year for me to hunt down a pair of great conditioned, but second hand and reasonably priced guidi boots. To be honest, I don't like to purchase items that cost too much (i.e $1000 and over) because I am the type of person to worry about the piece too much and hence, possibly not enjoy wearing the pieces as much as I should. I already treasure my clothes and shoes too much than I should but I love to keep them in great condition for the longest possible wear. Either way, I found these babies on ebay for a great price  and stalked them until they ended. Although my boyfriend actually bought these for me as an early 5 year anniversary present and they are waiting for me back in Australia.

I will be back in Aus by September 6th.

LIFE UPDATE!

HELLOOOOOOO! It's been far too long since I last made a post on here! Work has gotten crazy hectic, I'm trying to work on my website, I'm trying to save money for going back to AUS and my private life is also crazy busy at the moment! Life in general is amazing at the moment (besides the stress and work overload of my full time job!!!) and to be honest, I don't particularly want to go back to Australia. If it wasn't for my boyfriend I would definitely stay and live here. Although I have amazing friends in Australia, with particular friends, I think we have a strong enough bond/relationship that could stay here and still stay friends with them until I die. In relation to my own life and work, I know that this (Japan) is where I belong. I have made opportunities for myself while here, and opportunities have presented themselves to me as well. I never expected such great chances and things to happen while living here so it makes me love Japan that much more. I could/can never get such chances in Australia and it kills me to leave everything here behind... I officially finish work on August 3rd to which I will then go to Nagoya to visit relatives then head to Kagoshima to visit my grandma and then I will head back to AUS with her and be back in September. I will work my ass off in Australia when I get back so I can come back to Japan as often as possible. What an amazing experience and time I've had and am having here. I am so god damn blessed.

Recently, I have been busy with my current full time job as well as the start of my own projects. One of which, is a website. I am proud to say that I have achieved one of my goals and have launched my own fashion website. The website will include various segments however, until I get back to Australia, the flow of content may be a slow process. You can find the website over at www.sonzaishinai.com  as well as the Facebook page by searching sonzaishinai.  While I intend to keep this blog running as well, as always, it will probably be a slow upload process. I want to thank all of my readers and supporters and I hope you all look forward to this journey as much as I am :).

My wardrobe has had some amazing new additions since being in Japan, both from overseas purchases and purchases from Japan. Black is about 99% of my wardrobe. Black is me. Black (as well as fashion) is my life. It has taken me so long to tweak and get my wardrobe to a state that I am quite proud of. Although there is so many more items I would like to introduce to my little family, it takes time, money and a lot of hard work. But to me, it's worth it. This is what I live for. I can't wait to get back to Australia to try and start new projects with what I love to do best.

YOHJI YAMAMOTO WOMEN'S FW14

images via style.com

To be honest, I think Yohji Yamamoto's show was my favourite this season for womenswear. Surprisingly even over Rick Owens!!! I've always loved puffy items and I'm quite liking Yohji's work as of late. His men's prints last collection were immaculate! For his women's season, I found the zips quite intriguing. At first, I got a slight Chrome Hearts vibe but I don't think he collaborated with them this season. Eitherway, nice to see some cool zip detailing!
